Great Fast, Holy Week and Pascha
Liturgical Texts
I have begun compiling texts, in English and Ukrainian, for various services of the Triodion and Pentecostarion. Unless otherwise specified, each document contains only the propers for that specific service. Please note that the texts presented below do not include any materials from the Menaion – you may need to make slight (or drastic) adjustments to your services depending on your Church's calendar and Typicon.
Due to greater usage of Ukrainian over English in my present circumstances, I may not have the opportunity to prepare everything in English – Ukrainian must take precedence. Anything I must skip this year will be prepared for 2008. Also, please accept my apologies for not translating all rubrics – I have simply run out of time.
Due to numerous formatting inconsistencies between formats, documents are available only in 'portable document format' – PDF (I recommend FoxIt as a reader: Linux, Window$). If you need a particular text in a version which can be edited please contact me and specify your preferred format: 'open document' – .odt (Linux & Window$: OpenOffice; Mac: NeoOffice); or M$ Word document. Items in the far right column contain the English and Ukrainian texts in a single document – printed double-sided, you will have English on the left and Ukrainian on the right.
Texts are prepared using the font Palatino Linotype. For titles and drop caps I have used GothicRus (English) and Pochaevsk Ucs (Ukrainian).
